Trustee Vacancy – Education Charity

Are you a youth worker?  Want to know more about how grants are awarded?  Consider becoming a trustee of our grant-making foundation.

St Giles & St George Education aims to improve the educational opportunities of children and young people aged 0–25 across Bloomsbury, Covent Garden and south Westminster.  We provide grants to not-for-profit organisations (including schools and churches) to deliver activities that support our mission.  Our grants budget is approx £350,000 per annum.

There is more information about our grants elsewhere on our Education page.

We are looking for someone who can bring their knowledge/experience of supporting young people to our charity to ensure that we are funding the kind of initiatives that young people really want.  The charity is currently undertaking a strategic review.  One of our medium-term goals is to better understand how we can enable youth participation and voice across our grant-making, both in the organisations that we fund and across the charity itself.

Our Trustees meet quarterly for a couple of hours in the evening usually via Zoom.  In addition, we usually have an annual strategic review meeting in person.

For more information, please download the Trustee Information Pack.  If you would like to apply, then please send your CV and a covering letter outlining why you are interested to the Administrator at office@stgilesandstgeorge.org.uk by Monday 15 July.
