Education Grants

“SGSG care deeply about serving the local community and supporting schools to deliver impactful work for children and families.”
“There is a really good balance between being clear and directive but also being flexible. Extremely appreciated during the pandemic when we couldn’t always deliver as we had planned.”
Education Grants
We’re investing in the future of local children & young people. We create positive change by funding a wide range of learning and educational opportunities that enable children & young people to build their aspirations, skills and confidence – at home, with their family, at school and within their local community. Our priority is to focus on where the need is greatest.
Our mission is to provide funding and support that will enable grantee organisations to better achieve their mission.
For examples of what we fund, please see our grants programme and current grants below.
Who will we fund?
We fund not-for-profit organisations (including charities, schools, churches and social enterprises) delivering activities that support our mission to children and young people from birth to 25 years old. We do fund Community Interest Companies and social enterprises but there are additional requirements.
Where will we fund?
We can only provide funding to support children and young people who are resident in or educated in our area of benefit (Covent Garden and south Westminster – see map). Your organisation does not need to be based in this area, but your beneficiaries do.
What will we fund?
We will fund universal and targeted initiatives that fall under our five broad themes.
- Children & Families – focus on younger children and their parents.
- Education & Learning – supporting attainment, enhancing the curriculum and learning new skills.
- Emotional Well-Being – looking after children’s emotional and mental health.
- Youth Activities – clubs and activities that older children attend on their own.
- Christian Education – reflecting our historic roots.
