Alms Charity welcomes Jessica as a new Trustee

We are very pleased to welcome Jessica Skippon as a Trustee of the Alms Charity to help us with supporting older people.

Jessica comes to us with a wealth of experience, having served on various local committees.  As a local resident herself for many years, she is known to show tremendous dedication and commitment to the people of her local community.

A founding member of the Covent Garden Tenants’ Association, a former administrator of the Seven Dials Housing Coop, and member of the first UCLH Patient & Public Involvement Group, Jessica has and does affect positive change, from saving Floral Hall, going toe-to-toe with a housing association trying to triple rent, reducing traffic flow and improving pavements.

Jessica is equally known as an advocate helping individuals with complex social and housing issues. She responded to our advertisement because it was “a natural extension of what I am already doing and enjoying”.

Having lived on 3 continents, Jessica regards Covent Garden as her home.  Initially, working in media, she and her husband set up the first video production company.  Now a keen genealogist, when there is time, she enjoys spending time in Phoenix Gardens or with her many pets and her family.

We look forward to having Jessica’s input as we continue to support the Almshouses and the wider community.
